Habitus opened the event Sex & Revolution, organised by Lovers Film Festival in collaboration with Fish&Chips Film Festival at Cinema Massimo, in Turin. A minimal action, a collective exercise in the erosion of the more or less transparent conventions that confine people within rigid gender parameters and conveniences. The project stems from the observation of the ways in which heteronormativity shapes behaviour, actions and gender hierarchies, moulds language and spaces, defines what is appropriate and decent, and conforms rigid models of femininity and masculinity.
The action opens up to the public as a parenthesis, proposing an investigation on clothing as a fundamental threshold, as a social skin.
